I think there are many types of leadership. I don’t consider myself a traditional leader. I’m not the type to want to get up front and give a sermon or sing a solo. I don’t want to go lead a movement or anything. Some might not think that my personality is one to lead.
But I am interested in leading quietly. In writing inspiring words to guide the next generation. In singing with a choir to bring others joy. In teaching children skills like knitting and sharing the wisdom I have learned in God’s word.
These might not be considered leading in the usual sense of the word. I’m not interested in being famous and bringing thousands to follow the truth. But I believe that a kind word and a smile can make a difference to someone, and that in itself is a type of leadership. So, I guess, I am a leader somehow. I pray that I will lead in a way that would bring God glory.
